Freshfire is a relatively new work in the Eastern Burke/Western Catawba County area of North Carolina. We are nestled between Hickory and Morganton off the I-40 corridor. Hildebran is an excellent area for established family values, solid community involvement, and church growth. 

What started as an outreach ministry under the leadership of Pastor Mike Fredell; Freshfire quickly became a family church with an accelerated membership. The ministry began as a small gathering in a converted commercial building around 2005, and over the past several years we have been evolving into something very special for the people of the community and it's members. 

Freshfire Church built it's current facility in 2007, and supplied it's ever growing congregation a permanent place to worship and pursue kingdom work. 

Pastor Mike Fredell felt the calling of ministry leading him in another direction and in September of 2011, Pastor Sam and Sandy Crowe arrived along with their two sons, Caleb and Kyle, with a new vision and excitement for the church. The members have rallied behind the leadership and begun to impact the community around them. Through anointed worship, teaching, and obedience, Freshfire is working through various ministries, outreaches, and causes, in hopes to continually reach out to the area and ignite others into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
